Bananas for breakfast. Bananas for lunch. Bananas for dinner. I'm literally obsessed.
I was skeptical of this banana ice cream at first. No refined sugars, no cream, no milk...just bananas? It seemed too good to be true. But now... I'm sold! It's creamy, it's refreshing, and it's completely satisfying. If you're looking for a healthy dessert option and enjoy the fresh taste of bananas, then look no further.
The great thing about this recipe is that it's completely versatile. You can flavor it however you would like...strawberries, blueberries, peanut butter, coconut. The options are endless. For me, I like to add some homemade almond butter (recipe coming soon) and unsweetened cocoa powder.
Ingredients:
- one banana, frozen
- 1 tbsp. unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 tbsp. almond butter, or peanut butter
Directions:
- Start by placing the bananas in your food processor. Blend until smooth. This takes a few moments, but you will notice a turn in the blending process when the texture goes from choppy to a whipped goodness. Add in the cocoa powder and almond butter, and blend until fully combined. Transfer to a small bowl and eat up.
Enjoy!
