over the weekend we had the absolute privilege of hosting some of our college friends in greenville. it was eric's birthday [one of scofield's groomsmen and best buddies] and so we planned and schemed a weekend to surprise him. eric and allie hopped in the car from charleston, and he had no idea where they were going until they landed at our doorstep. connor and brittney came up from atlanta and spent a night with us all, too. it's so fun getting together with friends from college after we're all married and getting to share life together.
on saturday morning we got up and started the day with coffee at coffee underground. they have the best coffee in all of the upstate, i'm convinced. not to mention, the cutest and quirkiest atmosphere. if you're ever in greenville, you have to check it out.^ my favorite street in all of greenville :)
after coffee we headed across the street for brunch at tupelo honey. scofield and i could eat there for every meal. we have a goal to try something new on the menu every time we go until we've tried everything. this time i tried the sweet potato pancake. it was so delicious and tasted like thanksgiving, but i maybe made it through like 1/12th of the whole thing before i was full. it was bigger than my face...
^ it was a little rainy and gloomy, but sometimes i really love a gray day. plus, it gave us an excuse to relax and get some rest in, too. we watched gravity with sandra bullock. have you seen it? pretty intense, but so good!
this weekend is definitely one for the books. we hope you had the best birthday, eric!
how was your weekend!?

That pancake looks amazing! I've been hearing about those and wondering if they're good. I thought Gravity was good, but it makes you dizzy huh?! Lol.
