having never been there, we didn't know what to expect. i was thinking like a really large pier 1. but no--it was better. waaaaaayyy better. groceries, kid's play park, and a food court that actually has good food. they were advertising "eat free" until may 31st. the way it worked was you would eat in the food court before you went shopping and they would hand you a receipt. when you checked out with all your gear and home furnishings, you would hand the cashier the receipt and they subtract your lunch from your total purchase. awesome deal, right!? we thought so too, except we shopped first and then ate...after we had already checked out...missing our free lunch window. fail.
^^i was feeling super excited about my new purchases for our new home! table, rug, and pillow...
we were really worried everything wouldn't fit in the car. i might live in the south, but i've never been one for a pick up truck. but luckily we managed to squeeze it all in. a success to balance out our failure! yeah!
ikea, we will be seeing more of you for sure. thanks for a fun day!
Ah, I love Ikea! I don't know how far it is for you- but for me, it's a 2 hour drive. I haven't trekked it in a while but I plan to soon!
