For years, I've had yogurt every single morning for breakfast. With eating Paleo/Whole30 style for a while, I have to give up yogurt. But all is well--I think I might have found a replacement for my
yogurt obsession. THIS SMOOTHIE. When my whole30 month started, I didn't know
if I was going to make it. What am I suppose to do without my morning bowl of
yogurt and granola?... Eat a smoothie! It is seriously so good...so good
that it gets me out of bed in the morning.
Pineapple, Mango Breakfast Smoothie:
•
1/2 cup frozen pineapple
•
1/2 cup frozen mango
•
1 whole banana (fresh, not frozen)
•
1/4-1/2 cup of unsweetened vanilla almond milk, depending on desired consistency
•
1/4-1/2 cup of tropical fruit juice (no sugar added--I
get mine from Trader Joe's)
•
a couple pinches of spinach for an extra nutrition boost
*If you can't find tropical fruit juice, feel free
to experiment with other fruit juice flavors.
*If you have trouble blending, add another 1/4 cup of juice and almond milk.
