Peppermint Nutella Chocolate Chip Cookies

Calling all Nutella lovers...
This cookie is for you.
When I stumbled upon this cookie recipe, there was no way I could pass it up. It sounds like the perfect holiday cookie, right!? I totally agree. And I can now conclude that it is. I thoroughly enjoyed them, as I hope Scofield's office did too.

Peppermint Nutella Chocolate Chip Cookies

Recipe from ohJoy! blog

Ingredients:

  • 2 1/4 cups flour
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter at room temp.
  • 1/2 cup Nutella
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 2 eggs
  • 10 oz. (1 bag) dark chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup crushed candy cane
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F. Combine the dry ingredients in a small bowl (flour, baking soda, and salt). Set aside. Cream the butter, nutella, and sugars together in a separate bowl, using a hand mixer on medium speed. When mixture is creamy, add in the vanilla extract and eggs. Continue to mix until fully incorporated. Slowly blend the dry ingredients into the wet and mix until a dough forms. Fold in the candy canes and chocolate chips.

Using a cookie scoop, or a tablespoon, scoop the cookies onto a prepared cookie sheet. Bake in pre-heated oven for 9 minutes. Remove from heat. Let cool. Consume.

It's a christmas party in your mouth.
