Over the weekend, we took a quick trip up to Asheville. We spent less than 24 hours in the beautiful city, and while there we landed upon the most delicious restaurant.
We were originally planning to eat a late lunch at a little place called Tupelo Honey. Apparently, we weren't the only ones with this idea. When we got there the wait was roughly an hour or more. At this point, my blood sugar was getting low. It wasn't happening...
So we skipped on down the street and landed upon this gem of a restaurant. Mayfel's...and a perfect lunch spot it was. My eye was first caught by the vintage kitchen utensil's hanging from the outdoor entry way. So cute, right!? And it got even better...
Ahhh, adorable! Chalkboards, twinkle lights, and chandeliers--all of which I am obsessed with.
Just a little mesmerized...
For lunch, I ordered the perfectly vegetarian asheville scramble. It was tofu scrambled with some veggies and spices, alongside tomato slices and the beeeeeeest sweet potato fries.
Scofield ordered the sundried tomato pesto grilled cheese sandwich with tomato bisque soup. He shared a few bites with me. Perks of having a husband :)
Bonus: Post-lunch street concert!
Hope your weekend was lovely!
